Soldiers from the Bundeswehr, Germany's armed forces, will not actually be deployed in Congo itself but will serve with airlift logistics and medical facilities in neighbouring Uganda, a government spokesman said.
The German parliament still has to vote on the deployment June 18 but approval is widely expected -Sapa/DPA.
