Earlier this month I had the opportunity to visit SAS Saldanha as part of my orientation programme in the Department of Defence. I was impressed by what I was told during the briefing, but particularly by what I saw. I made an undertaking to the Officer Commanding, Captain Shelley, that I would be back for another visit, I, however, did not think that it would be so soon. I am not complaining though to be back so soon as it is always a pleasure to be at a place where you are with people who are visibly committed to making the world a better place.
