I, Angelina Matsie Motshekga, Minister of Basic Education, hereby, in terms of sections 17A(2)(a) and 23(1) of the General and Further Education and Training Quality Assurance Act, 2001 (Act No. 58 of 2001), approve the General and Further Education and Training Quality Assurance Council ( "Umalusi's) Policy and Criteria for the Quality Assurance, Accreditation and Monitoring of Independent Schools and Private Assessment Bodies.
