To provide for the continued protection of rights of persons who live and work on farms; to provide support framework for sustainable livelihoods of persons who live and work on farms; to provide for State assistance in the settlement of interested and affected persons on alternative land; To provide measures aimed at security of tenure, sustainable livelihoods and production discipline; to establish a land rights management board; to provide for acquisition of rights in land for resettlement; to provide for the finalisation of applications under Chapter III of the Land Reform (Labour Tenants) Act, 1996; and to provide for matters connected therewith.
