For the ninth consecutive year DLA Piper earned the top legal advisor ranking globally for M&A (based on deal count), according to Mergermarket's 2018 league tables. 

DLA Piper has also for the first time claimed the top spot on the Mergermarket league table for M&A (based on deal count) in Africa. According to Mergermarket the firm advised on 43 deals in the Middle East and Africa combined and 30 deals in Africa alone.  The firm also ranked highly in Mergermarket’s league tables in a number of regions around the world, including:
