Malema declares war with Pravin Gordhan

Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema has declared that the political party decided to fight Minister of Public Enterprises Pravin Gordhan.

Malema said their attack on Gordhan was an attack on white monopoly capital and he urged all EFF members to be prepared for the fight.

The EFF alleges that Gordhan’s daughter has more than ten companies that are all doing business with government with tenders amounting to R80-million.

 

ANC members found guilty in VBS saga must face 'wrath of the law'

ANC members who are found guilty of wrongdoing in the VBS Mutual Bank scandal must face the full wrath of the law, the party's national working committee has said.

ANC secretary general Ace Magashule reiterated the stance of the party’s national executive committee and affirmed "its dismay with the impact of the VBS issues on the lives of ordinary people across the country ".

 

Mashaba orders audit to establish legal status of those occupying City property

City of Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba says he has ordered an audit into the legal status of those occupying City properties.

The audit would establish, among other things, whether tenants occupying buildings in the City were doing so legally and if any subletting was taking place.

Mashaba announced this while launching a R191-million development in Turffontein yesterday in collaboration with the Johannesburg Social Housing Company.
