The National Youth Policy 2008-2013 has been approved by Cabinet as a discussion document.  The desired outcome of the policy is to produce "empowered you people who are able to realise their full potential and understand their roles and responsibilities in making meaningful contribution to the development of a non-racial and prosperous South Africa"
