The African National Congress Youth League in Northern Cape Province sends its heartfelt condolences to the Mnqgolo family on the loss of their father Ezekiel Mncedi Mngqolo on the 24th of April 2015. Bra Vic as he was affectionately known, played an important role in the creation of a united, non-racial, non-sexist, democratic and prosperous South Africa. He led in the structures of the National Union of Mineworkers, South African Communist Party, South African National Civics Organisation, and the African National Congress where he served as the Chairperson of Sipho Mgijima Branch. He was deployed by the ANC in various capacities in Government as the Deputy Mayor of Sol Plaatjie and the Executive Mayor of the Francis Baard District Municipality Council where he, under his stewardship, led a Council delegation to Sweden.
Bra Vic was also a father to Thami Mnqgolo (Senzo from Generations) who is contributing immensely in strengthening the ANC’s hegemony, particularly amongst young people.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Comrade Thami Mngqolo and his family during this journey of grief.
