The civil rights organisation AfriForum today appealed in a formal letter to the newly appointed Public Protector (PP), Adv. Busisiwe Mkhwebane, to release the so-called state capture report as soon as possible, notwithstanding the political pressure of what nature soever she might be under.
Ernst Roets, Deputy CEO of AfriForum, argued in the letter that the release of the report is a matter of national interest and that it must subsequently also be the highest priority of the PP to release this report to the public.
AfriForum made an appeal to the PP to not take notice of the political pressure being placed on her by those who are discussed in the report and added that the release of the report is a matter of national interest.
