Law firm Adams & Adams has been nominated as a finalist in the 17th annual Business Day BASA Awards.  The firm is recognised in the In-Kind Sponsorship category for its support of acclaimed multi-faceted creative platform - Design Indaba.

Adams & Adams has provided in-kind services to Design Indaba for three years, these include:

a) The protection of Design Indaba brands, advice on copyright and commercial aspects etc, before and during the Design Indaba Conference and Expo;
b) Extending professional services to the winner of the Design Indaba Innovation Award, which is sponsored by Adams & Adams - where winners are awarded a R50 000 prize, and are offered legal support for their future IP needs;
c) Creating an educational platform for exhibitors who are participating in the Design Indaba Expo with regard to their IP rights. This is through an interactive stand with several attorneys on hand to provide free advice every day.
