You are hereby invited to 2nd Ordinary Session Of The 4th Parliament Of The Pan African Parliament (PAP), which will take place from Tuesday 3rd till Friday 13th of May 2016, at the PAP buildings located at, 19 Richards Drive, Gallagher Estate, Midrand, Johannesburg.

The session will touch on a wide range of issues, which will be debated at high level. Some of the issues to be discussed and debated include:

  • The state of the African Union
  • Human Rights with a particular focus on the rights of the Woman
  • African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) debate focusing on Benin, Ethiopia, Mauritius, Nigeria and South Africa
  • Report from High Level PAP Burundi mission
  • Electronic Governance
  • AU Budget for the Financial Year 2017
  • African Governance Architecture (AGA)
  • Index of African Governance (Mo Ibrahim Foundation)
  • Election of the Vice-President of the Pan-African Parliament for the East Africa Region
  • AU Education policy
  • Climate Change

There will be a press conference at 12pm on Tuesday 3rd May 2016, for all media personnel. H.E. Mr. Ernest Bai Koroma; President of the Republic of Sierra Leone and H.E. Hon. Roger Nkodo Dang, President of the Pan-African Parliament will address the media.
Some of the key dignitaries who have been invited and have confirmed attendance are
H.E. Mr. Ernest Bai Koroma; President of the Republic of Sierra Leone who is the Special Guest Of Honour, and will also be giving a presentation.

H.E. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma; Chairperson of the African Union Commission) will be giving a presentation on the state of the African Union.

H.E. Hon. Mama Fatima Singhateh; Attorney General and Minister of Justice of The Gambia who will be given a presentation on Human Rights with a particular focus on the rights of the Woman.
